Huntington Beach, a set on Flickr.
Still catching up on posts from last year.
Sometime in the middle of last year, Mynx had the awesome idea to pick up state and country park passes. In case your not familiar with these, they give you unlimited access to all state and county beaches and parks. This lead to many picnics and hikes that, looking back, where some of the highlights of last year. Additionally in the later part of the year, we spent several evenings enjoying bonfires with friends down at Huntington Beach. Here are a few of the shots from those bonfire nights.
Crystal Cove, a set on Flickr.
Figured it has been awhile since I have done an update and I need to get back into the habit prior to heading out to Israel. Back in January, some friends and I took a quick trip down to Crystal Cove beach to take some shots of the abandoned buildings down there. Sadly they had been roped off so we couldn’t get very close, but the beach itself did provide the opportunity for some interesting shots. I am looking forward to going back and taking a second crack at the buildings in the evening light. Additionally there is a underground tunnel that has a bunch of earth day kids art that would make for some interesting urban shots.
Anyways, enjoy.

Kent Trip, a set on Flickr.
Two weeks ago, I had to fly up to Kent, WA to assist in moving one of our branch locations. All in all it was a pretty good trip. The branch move with nice and smooth. We got to eat at some great restaurants. I even had some time to play with the camera one evening. I always love traveling up to the Seattle area. Between the mild climate and the natural beauty of the place, it always stands out as somewhere I would enjoy living. Heck they actually have trees that are not shaped in perfect circles or cylinders.
Anyways, here are a few shots taken up on on the pier by Salty’s in Des Moines, WA. Salty’s is a great seafood restaurant right on the water that just happens to have this great little boat launch and pier right next to it.
